My father,deceased Warrant Officer Leo Sypek was obviously a shipmate of your father since my father was on the Oyster Bay from when it was commissioned in '43 until the war ended.He was in the Engine Room. He told many fantastic stories about his experiences aboard her. Feel free to send me an EMail should you wish to further chat about this.
