Lynn,
Thanks for the help. I have since had a Civil War researcher find the grave of Samuel S. Conover in the Rahway Cemetery but not Sarah Frances Weeks Conover's. The gal that manages the cemetery does not know what has happened to the original records books she had 3 years ago so any more information is on hold until the books turn up.
I will try your suggestions. Maybe there is a descendant of one of Elnor's siblings that will turn up more info. I have some compiled research done by the late Kathryn ( Kath) Conover on her ggg grandparents, Ralph R. and Elnor Snedeker Conover that contains the names of Elnor's siblings. Hopefully a Snedeker will recognize them as family and have some clues. It appears the Conovers and Snedekers have intermarried many times. I am hoping the Weeks may be cousins too but have not found much to go on for Sarah Frances Weeks but that she was from New York. The CW pension records of Samuel S. Conover , our possible brother of Ralph R. Conover and my gg,William Conover, had a lot of information but Sarah Frances could not remember the name of the pastor that had married them in Newark. Samuel S. Conover is not in the Newark City Directories , 1834-35 - 1839 time frame that Ralph R. appears. It could be him over in NYC that is working as a carpenter and mason. Thanks again, Marie Reedy, Ohio
