That is not correct. Our ancestor who was burned at the stake in England, died because he or she was condemned as a witch. Captain Seaman, who was a good friend of Gov. Styvasent of New York, was asked to sit as a juror during a witch trial on Long Island. He is credited with saving the persons life due to the fact that he had had a relative burned at the stake in England. My grandfather was the last born relative born in the Seaman Homestead.
