Subject: Monitor problem
In December 1996 I received a new Toshiba PC and large-screen Toshiba monitor. The power to our apartment was briefly cut off, and now the computer seems to work fine but the monitor doesn't come on. When I turn the monitor power on, the green power light goes on briefly, but then fades out without the screen coming on. Does it sound like I've fatally shorted something out, or like something that may be fixable, either by me or by a professional? Thanks.
