If you've installed the old drive on the secondary port and Windows recognizes it as a hard drive (has assigned a drive letter to it), you should be able to decompress the DriveSpace archive if it is not corrupt.
In DriveSpace, from the Advanced menu, Refresh should get Windows to recognize the compressed partition. If not, you should be able to use Mount to handle it as you would an archive from a removable drive.
