Your system meets the requirements for a Windows 95 installation. However, I would anticipate problems during installation because the amount of RAM -- 8 mB -- is the bare minimum. Also, this system will run very slowly, again because the amount of memory is very low. If possible, increase the RAM to 16 or 32 mb.
You will probably have better luck if you use FDISK to wipe out the hard drive completely then repartition it. Then, let the Windows 95 installation software format the hard drive before installing Windows. (If you have a Windows 95 UPGRADE CD-ROM, this advice is wrong. In that case, you need to first install DOS 6.X -- not DOS 7.X, which comes with Windows 95.)
Before using FDISK, make sure you have a setup (boot disk) to start your PC with CD-ROM access. If you don't have the right disk, you can get one from http://www.bootdisk.com
