Subject: cd-rom runs too fast

When I try to run some old games that run off the CD the game runs too fast because the newer cd-rom drives are too fast. Not to mention the vibration it causes sometimes affects my hard drive. Does anyone know of a program or a way that limits the speed of the cd-rom drive? Thanks.
