Homepage: Windows 98 Registry Problem

Subject: Registry

I did a clean install on a computer that I built for a friend. I put Windows 98 on the system. The installation was basically okay, there was one error. I didn't pay too much attention to it, but now every time that windows loads up there is an error. The desktop loads for about two seconds and then windows says "Windows found an error in your system registry. Windows will now restart and repair the error.", or something very similar to that. It does this every time so I can't do anything. What would be causing this and how do I fix it. Thanks.
