Your SYSTEM.INI, WIN.INI, or your Registry may be screwed up. Read the file BOOTLOG.PRV, (type at DOS prompt exactly after the colon:TYPE BOOTLOG.PRV | MORE
then press Enter. Look for the word "FAIL" in the long text file with a lot of technobabble. If the letters
F-A-I-L appear together at all, then you know that whatever the line describes is the cause of your problem.
