There are really only a few variables here. If you've reinstalled the software (and it wasn't upgraded between the time it worked and the time it stopped working), then we need to look to the hardware.
1. Clean the drive with compressed air or a cleaning disk available from Staples, OfficeMax, CompUSA, etc. This may be a dirty lens problem.
2. Open the case and reseat the cables. If DirectCD works but Easy Creator doesn't, it's not likely to be cabling, but it could be.
3. Try a different blank (not from the same batch).Good luck!
