First off you'll need to do some homework. You need to determine the make and model of the sound adapter. If it's a plug in card, you can open the PC case and read the information off the card. If the sound adapter is built in to the motherboard, as is true for many Packard Bell's, you may be able to find the chips on the motherboard and use that information. Or look in the instruction manual, if you have that.
To get the drivers you need, either use the Packard Bell site for Canada or the U.K. (Google it) or www.driverguide.com.
If you really get stuck, www.windrivers.com, which requires a $30 registration, can help you identify the sound adapter from the PC make and model or from the motherboard.
Good luck!
