ive been having a nightmare of a time with this computer recently. I have a Dell Dimension 4300, with windows XP 2002. Now, it keeps going into hibernation or standby mode automaticlly. And when it does i cant turn to computer back on, the only way to get back into it is to unplug everything from the wall and let it sit for about a half hour, then try to restart. When it locks up on my the power button flashes yellow, and no matter what i do it keeps flashing. I went into the control panal and changed all the settings (well first off everything was set to "never" so that it would never go to "sleep" ) so i changed it to "5 hours" and it still goes into hibernation after a few minutes. It seems to go into hibernation a lot faster when im on the internet, but it still does it when im not. so thats my problem and its driving me crazy any help would be very much appreciated. thank you for your time.
