Subject: Compaq 5000 monitor

Hi -

I have a fairly new Compaq Presario 5000. My monitor does not work all the sudden???? A green light comes on and I hear a little noise and the monitor seems to sleep and go to an orange color? I hooked up machine to another monitor and same thing?? any ideas?
