Subject: Volume on HP Fax Phone is too low

We have an HP Pavillion with the HP Fax Phone software. Recently, we downloaded the latest version of Faxphone and installed it. Now the volume is so low that callers can't hear the greeting very well. We've tried the volume control on the faxphone and the mixer for sound in W95. What next?
(These are all set as high as possible.)
