My monitor started doing that exact thing. Eventually, the blinking became more frequent and turning it off and back on didn't keep it "up" as long, until eventually it went black. I have it being repaired now. I would be very interested in hearing what caused your problem. I'm sure we have the same problem. By the way, the repair shop called yesterday and said they could fix mine for $125 (didn't say what the cause was, but I think I'm being ripped off). Thanks for any info you can email me.
