Windows 2000 is the successor to Windows NT, the system designed for networked environments which handle a lot of data. Windows 2000 is not the right system for a standard office. Windows 98 Second Edition or Windows ME is the way to go. The built-in networking is more than adequate for most small offices (4-5 stations) and these systems will run virtually all business software.
Good luck!
