Older motherboards were limited to 2 gB drives (some even smaller -- 500 mB!). And the original version of Windows 95 had a 2 gB limitation also.
The way around the motherboard is to use the overlay or disk manager software supplied by the hard drive manufacturer. (Go to the maker's web site. The software can be downloaded FREE. Note that you must use the maker's software, not another's.)
The way around Windows 95 is either to upgrade (recommended) or to partition the drive into 2 gB sections.
Good luck!
