Subject: CD-RW Problem with Win98

My mitsumi cd-rw hardware does not work on win98 properly, but when works fine with windows 2000. The cd-rw hardware is detected by win98 but when a blank cd is inserted in the drive, it will not detect the cd. I'm assuming that this is a Win98 glitch since I had similar problems with my Cd-rom hardware. Is there a fix or patch for this?
