Subject: monitor problem

sometime in the past few weeks i've lost
about 3 inches of my vertical screen on
my monitor.1 1/2 at top and 1 1/2 on the
bottom.I have run my vertical all the
way out to 100%.horizontal is fine at
about 60%.I've plugged it up on my
laptop and it is still the same.What
could happen to cause this problem?
I am running windows ME.
