Subject: CDRW Problems

I recently upgraded my motherboard to an ECS K7S5A and my cpu to an AMD Athlon XP 1900+. I have a Diamond Data 32x8x4 CDRW which worked fine when I installed it with the new board. 2 days later I suddenly start getting "Atapi Incompatable" for the CDRW on bootup. If I change the setting in BIOS to "AUTO" it picks up the CDRW and stops the error message, but the system has all sorts of problems then.
The CDRW has the latest firmware and works fine in two other computers.
Is it just that Diamond Data may be incompatable with the ECS M/B??
