Subject: ZoneAlarm installation problem

I am having major difficulties trying to install a ZoneAlarm 4.5+ version using Windows 98se. I had major difficulties uninstalling the 4 version and performed massive ZA removal from registry and program files per instructions received from ZA and other forums.

The installation aborts immediately after I start installation with the message "Validation Failed for C:\Windows\Temp\vsinit.dll. I d/led a second version of the installation file from ZA and get the same results. I checked the certificate for vsinit.dll, recommended by others, to no avail.

I would toss the whole installation except for the fact that I just paid for 2 years service with ZA. I starting to wonder why. Communication with ZA is worthless.

Any ideas that will resolve this issue are welcomed.
