Subject: RTC fails test for y2k

I've received two fails from two online freeware y2k checks. The message i got from one is that the real time clock (RTC) will fail if PC on. I was told with windows 98 this computer would be ok. I wonder if someone could clarify the above--does--PC on--mean up and running only? Thanks in advance, chris
