There is no existing modem in this pc, i got it from a friend who had removed the modem and the hard drive.
I added the HD, the soundblaster card in place of the crstal one and the modem.
I can try to move the soundblaster IRQ, or the printer (by this you mean the LPT1 por I assume) I never thought of doing that.
Does the Crystal card have to be in the system disabled or should it be removed altogether?
The new modem is set at COM3 by the PNP system. (WIN98)
Device manager shows COM1 & COM2, I have them both enabled in the BIOS.
Im not sure what the IRQ setting for COM3 is.
