Subject: Windows ME re-boot error

After updating Windows Media Player & McAfee virus software you are directed to re-boot the system. When rebooting serval rows of message:

%1: %2
Windows could not upgrade the file %1 from %2

are displayed. You can press enter to continue the reboot which is successful. However, it does not appear that the software has been updated. Does anyone have an idea of what is going on and how to fix it?
