Sounds like the situation is past helping.

To restore a compressed HD, you need to delete enough files to allow the drive to be uncompressed. Alternatively, you could copy the files to a second, normal (i.e., not compressed) drive.

Why not buddy up to a local geek or geekess before all is lost?
