Subject: How do I disable Findfast?

I had read somewhere that findfast (office 97) caused more problems
than it was worth and that it should be disabled. I did not think anything
of that message until I started having problems with findfast slowing
down my closing of documents in office and in backing up my system to
tape. How do I disable findfast? I can not remember where I read that and
I recall it being more involved than removing findfast from startup...
