You identified the problem in your subject: your motherboard is failing. Eventually it will stop booting, so now would be a good time to start making plans to replace it. However, your motherboard could go on, sometimes starting sometimes not, for longer than you want to keep your computer. So don't do anything until it actually fails.

Do make sure you peform regular backups of the files you create!
