Subject: Re: Can't format a drivespaced drive

It must be a common problem as I too have a laptop, ATT Globalyst, and in trying to make more space on an old machine, compressed my drive and it went south for the winter
First it booted up in SAFE mode then it wouldn't boot at all and then it went into trying to load Windows for a week or so. Then it said, under FDISK , can not format compressed drives or partitioned drives.....NOW WhAT?
If anyone discovers the secret please yell at me, in very small words so I will understand and so I can format my computer. I just now broke my Windows 95 disk into floppies, 107 of them , so I can put Windows 95 back in. You see
I don't have a CD rom with this old laptop..wish me luck...and please, please ..show me how to format my hard drive so I can start entering the 107 floppies. Christmas is coming and I only have so much time and I promise ...never..never..to compress again....
