Thank you very much for your immediate responsel and for the handy troubleshooting tips on the muted sound of my pc.

After reading your reply, the initial step that I did was follow your suggested steps on how to check the performance of my pc's speakers. Nothing was wrong with the speakers. I did the rest of your helpful
guide on how to restore the sound on my pc, but unfortunately I was not able to solve the mystery ot the muted sound of the pc.

I think it's a sound card problem.
