It says "invalid drive specification" because there is no D-drive set up in the BIOS.
The statements in your config.sys and autoexec.bat files appear satisfactory.
Try removing the statement in the config.sys file and re-running the install software for the CD-ROM. You'll either see a message saying CD-ROM found with details, or something to the effect that no CD-ROM was found. If the former, you're all set. If the latter, it's time to get some local, hands-on, eyes-there help.
