If you have an unexpired written lease, it controls what happens when the house is sold during your tenancy. If the lease is expired or verbal, common law applies. In common law, the landlord would be expected to give you adequate notice -- 30 to 60 days usually -- and you would be expected to vacate the premises promptly and in good order.

Good luck!
