Are you sure it is not a 2500 balancer? The 5800 is a very similar software function. The Error means Left Pickup Gain Low. This is either Gain needs to be adjusted, Left pick up is loose, Encoder has a problem. Outside chance the inside shaft mount bolt is loose.
Install the cal weight on the backing plate. press F11 spin. The readings should be close to 50 on each display, If the reading is low I would check pick up torque (should just barely move with hand) If tight, adjust the Pot on the main board (two together on Right hand lower side of board) Left one adjust left side and right does the rightside.
