Subject: FMC 2500 Balancer problem

This machine got used regularly, One day I turned it on and got cal err .
I can calibrate (cal good). About half the time I get (shf unb) If I switch off and on again it will cal. However when I spin with the slug I get readings of 9.00oz 1.75oz. position numbers are right. I replaced battery, no change. Checked pickups and mounts, all good.
F11- 1.3 1.66 I read that these should be .5 .5 but there is no response with the pots on the lower right of the board. I understand this machine is the same as the 4100. Below are some more function readings.
F40 = 4.65 F42 = -.82 F43 = -.32 F52 = 42 74
F30 = OK F31 = OK F50 = OK F51 = 255
F53 = 149 F10 = 9.00 1.75 F20 = .65 .50 F80-83 = err
F90 = err F27-28 = err F72 = err
I don't know what most of these mean, what they should be, or how to adjust. I assume these functions with err don't apply to this model.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hugh
