Fit for a Pharaoh!
This exotic pendant and chain wasn't found in King Tutankamen's tomb when it was opened, but the fabled Egyptian Pharaoh might well have commissioned one like it for his beloved bride, Ankhesenamen. Crafted in yellow and white gold and decorated with cabochon rubies and a diamond, this fabulous pendant depicts a Pharaoh -- perhaps Tut, perhaps not -- attended on either side by Nekhbet and Wadjet, the dual goddesses of Upper and Lower Egypt and the protectors of the Pharaoh. The goddesses are portrayed in traditional style as vultures.
Imagine the royal statement you'll make wearing this exquisitely crafted vintage pendant and chain a piece designed to turn heads. The photo at left hints at the beauty: the rubies at the shoulders, like regal epaulets, set off the yellow gold Pharaoh and his protectors. The diamond at the waist radiates sumptous power. The unique design feautures a center section suspended in a white gold outer frame so that it dangles freely.

Description. Our GIA Graduate Gemologist reports the cabochon rubies each measure approximately 2.8 mm in diameter, and the single cut diamond set in the center weighs approximately .03 carats. The center section tests at least 18 kt yellow gold and the frame tests 14 kt white gold. The piece weighs 29.6 grams and measures 2 inches long x 1 1/8 inches wide. The pendant suspends from a 24 inch 14 kt yellow gold curb link chain weighing 15.2 grams. As you can see in the photo below, the chain sports a sturdy lobster claw lock.
