Lou Bruno is the President of SERVENET.COM and the man behind the Webshop.
Lou Bruno's first career was in the Graduate Faculties at Columbia University, teaching and doing research in psychology. Lou says this helped him to understand what makes people tick.
Lou's second career -- in retail management -- was directing district operations for Radio Shack, Savemart, and then Newmark & Lewis. It was as a retailer that he developed his deep concern for his clients' needs.
Lou's third career began when he founded Installations Plus+, which specializes in PC consulting, sales, service, repairs, and upgrades. His goal is to help people make the most of their PCs.
Installations Plus+ spawned several companies, including the Webshop, all of which now operate under the SERVENET.COM umbrella. The Webshop -- now Lou's main focus -- developed as Lou and his clients migrated from browsing the Internet to using websites to enhance business.
Lou attributes his success in the Webshop to his clients. "They're the best!" he says. "We'd be no place without their generous referrals."
We suspect his extensive knowledge of programming, his expertise in writing and photography, and his amazing good spirits also figure in his success.
Leia Crock is the newest member of the Webshop team, but has quickly become indispensable handling everything from data entry to Flash animation.
In 1999 Leia was working as the Office Manager for a European start-up while studying Computer Network Technology (CNT) at Herzing College. When she realized the start-up was paying over $5000 a week for web development, she quickly added that to her curriculum and soon had designed her first website.
Leia moved on to study Management and Information Systems (MIS) at Kent State University, while continuing to study and develop websites on her own.
With training in CNT, MIS and website development and over seven years experience in executive administration, Leia has quickly become an important part of making the Webshop work.
P.S. The Webshop would still be just another good idea without Judith, our multi-talented editrix, Ted, who runs our auctions, Daniel, who powers our graphics, Don, who keeps our server running 24/7, and the other elves in our workshop.
